Fascinating Fact #1: Before there was the band called Boston, there was another called Mother’s Milk featuring both Tom Scholz and vocalist Brad Delp. The band’s theme song was called “Mother’s Milkshake” with a chorus that went “Shakin’ shakin’, rattle that money that you’ve been making.” They wound up keeping the song but changing the words, and it turned into “Smokin’.” Another song of theirs, “San Francisco Day,” eventually became “Hitch a Ride” with different lyrics. And a song called “90 Days” with the lyrics “Been 90 days since you’ve been gone” was changed to “woke up this morning and the sun was gone,” with the new name “More Than a Feeling.”
