Fat Loss Fact: Did you know that if you perform long, slow and steady cardio day after day - like using a treadmill, bike or elliptical - that, over time, it can actually make you GAIN fat around your belly, your thighs, and your legs? Yup its true! It may sound hard to believe, but studies are now showing that people who perform too many long bouts of traditional cardio suffer from decreased thyroid function, release more of the stress hormone cortisol, and increase their appetite- all at the same exact time. Not a good environment for optimal fat loss!
