Father Ron’s Corner... Happy Easter! A big “thank you!” to all who made our Holy Week, Triduum and Easter Celebrations so beautiful and to all of you who attended. Tenebrae, Holy Thursday and Good Friday were all sacred and solemn and our Easter celebrations were filled with joy! Congratulations to all who were brought into the church. You are in our prayers. Please also remember to pray for those making their first Holy Communion on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00 AM. Also please keep Deacon Scott Goodfellow in your prayers as he makes his final preparations for his ordination to priesthood (5/17/2014 @ 10:00 AM at the Cathedral) and will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving on (5/18/2014 @ 2:30 PM at St. Joseph) with a parish reception for Scott immediately following, everyone is invited. Remember that there is no 5:00 PM Mass that Sunday. I also want to thank all who made donations for Easter Flowers and for our parishioners that made our beautiful Easter Banners, our church decorators and sacristans for all they did to make everything so beautiful for Easter. Everyone did a great job filling in for Sister Irene who is recovering from pneumonia and is staying at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon to receive daily physical therapy. If you would like to send her a note, her address is: 35755 Detroit Road, Avon 44011. Please keep her in your prayers. I feel very blessed to be here at St. Joseph as your pastor.
