Favorite Christmas Albums of All Time: Day 2 To show I do have a serious side at times (as most of these albums are going to be classified as kids albums or dementia music), I present Michael W. Smith, Christmas. There isnt much of Michael W. Smith singing on it but his arrangement is fantastic. Most of the album is soft Christmas music. It reminds me of the early MWS where he would put an instrumental song on each album. This album builds to a crescendo. It is pretty slow to start, gets a little kick on Christ the Messiah and then digs deep to get to All is Well. This is the highlight of the album with the beautiful vocal play between the boys choir and the full powerful choir. It then builds quickly to the power song, Gloria. Michael W. Smith comes out and leads the charge in his rendition of this classic Christmas song and gets the whole crew in to make it big. I do believe this was the first Christmas album I ever bought myself, back on cassette and I listened to it for hours at a time. youtube/watch?v=yAyplzXmjVE
