Fb family, last week I returned from South Africa - after visiting Robben Island where Nelson Mandella was imprisoned for 18 of 27 years, my life will forever be changed. As a prisoner, this man of God - Madiba - suffered the coldest days without proper clothing and endured the hottest South Africsn heat breaking rocks - 13 years of mindless - useless labor in a rock quarry - breaking rocks. What the prison warden didnt know was that God was using Madiba to break downs the rocks of injustice - the rocks of racial inequality - the rocks of oppression and white domination so that all black Afrikans would be free with equal rights. For this fight, Madiba stated, I am prepared to die for. Last night, after reminiscing on his atrocious accommodations during his imprisonment - the cold metal cell with no blankets - I decided to stand out last night on 16th St - on the cold - with a flashlight to fight for the rights of our young Black men - to have the right to live without fear or racial profiling - to live without fear of being murdered - to live and BREATHE! Will you take a stand today? Any day? Get out! stand out! and Stand up!
