Fear is becoming larger in all our lives and the power mongers that prey on our fears to enhance their power are shameless. But, how do we achieve balance in the modern world? I was at the airport the other day, waiting for my ride to pick me up. Right where I was standing, a couple of police checked out an unattended car parked within ten feet of the sign that said do not leave your car unattended. My first thought was, uh oh, somebodys going to get a ticket. My second thought was an image of the car exploding. I tried to laugh it off, but I ended up walking away from the car. I was, perhaps, better shielded there and would have undoubtedly survived .0007 of a second longer if the car had been a car bomb. How sad is the environment we have created.
