Feel Good Experience Day 39 - Check Da Rhime, I am from the Street Food Tribe Called Quest and My Indian names Vicknesh I woke up at 7am. It was one of the few mornings that I did not feel like doing meditation, I listened to my body and went back to sleep. Flash forward, its 11.45am! Oh no! Almost 5 hours of precious productivity hours are gone! I had to make back the time I slept, so I wasted no time and headed out to print my name cards. Sunshine Plaza, here I come! Lesson in Feel Good Experience - Accept the Good in your life The first shop I went to charged me $30 for printing a box containing 100 name cards. So I had to continue to search for something that is much more economical. I saw a very empty shop with an idle owner chatting on the phone. Guess what? A box of MORE THAN 100 name cards cost only $15!!!!!! So cheap? I asked. Then $20 lor. The guy replied. Thats where I realized, when things gets so good to be true, it is wise to accept it gracefully with open arms. #acceptthegoodinyourlife Nevertheless, I only paid $15 for the box of more than 100 name cards, with the test print waived too. I am very happy with my name cards #readyforbusiness Since I was in the Selegie area, I took the change to Experience the ever so famous soy bean milk and local delicacies! #selegiesoybeanmilk More good things came as I come across a cafe that specializes in hot chocolates from all around the world! Nevertheless, I just ordered a simple mint tea, and it only cost $3.50! The spot for me to plug in my laptop charger was perfect! I was sitting in front of the glass window watching the world go by! Nevertheless, there was little time for people watching. I looked through my business plans and YES. I finally made the first step to write my very first book. I am halfway done with the preface. #30on30 Tonight I was one of the few participants in the usually crowded weekly meditations at Satsanga. Ambers not in. Strange. A very nice lady by the name of Radikah came out and greeted me. Vicknesh I replied, when she asked for my name. Wait! What? Vicknesh? Is my mind not functioning after sleeping for more than 10 hours? Is that an ordained name? She asked. Thats my Indian name I replied confidently. Or you can also call me Rick. I added. Well, truth be told. I do have an Indian that I created myself last year, Vicknesh Sharma. I do have many other names from various cultures that I have created for myself in the name of pure fun. Lesson in Feel Good Experience - Listen to your body It was one of the few days where I really could not sit still and during the meditation session, where everyone just sat quietly. I walked to the pantry, took a couple of drinks and look out at the beautiful evening view. Thankfully enough, this was an active meditation session where I am free to move around. In fact, I think I moved around too much, even during the mantra session. Whilst everyone was singing to the mantra, my body was just dancing nonstop. If I had just told myself You are not still. Sit down! I think the whole meditation session could have been less enjoyable. There is no way that I could resist the urge to move, maybe I did not exercise the entire day, or maybe I was listening to A Tribe Called Quest for the whole day. #whatyouresistpersist Speaking of A Tribe Called Quest, they were the original swag. They rap about their life Experiences and their love for the art of rapping. Kids today really miss out good, positive and more importantly truly swag music of the 90s. Many people have noticed that I tend to swag as I walk, maybe listening to jazz rap has really attributed it. #atribecalledquest Street food day! I was still hungry so I went and grabbed supper. Silver fish fried rice! Crispy silver fish, rich in taste.
