Feels good to be part of the best election ever conducted in recent time in Nigeria. With what we saw in Osun state, Democracy is about to start working in Nigeria. Imposition of candidates and rigging would soon be a thing of the past. Osun people have shown that the electorate must always stand by their votes even after voting has been concluded. A lot of them guided their votes all through the night until the final collation. One sure thing that gave APC the victory is the PDP has no candidate syndrome From my interactions with a lot of the electorates, they were very optimistic from the start that PDP would lose because of Omisore, a man who many still believe, is responsible for the murder of Chief Bola Ige. But PDP was able to gather the much votes they had because of the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan. But eventually, it clearly shows that the PDP has a lot of work to do, concerning who they present as their candidates at various levels in the forthcoming general elections. It is now a clear fact that Nigerians (especially the south-west) are tired of voting for party, but the personality of the candidate. Above all, we all need to burrow a lead from Osun people, who conducted themselves in a civilised manner and trooped out to record the best election under the Attahiru Jega led INEC.
