Feguson police officer Dan Page has been relieved of duty. This man has a fascinating world view. Not only is he a foul-mouthed racist but he is an apocalyptic ideologue who preaches a fundamentalist Christian-centric vision of the end-times. Which is not to say that I completely disagree with him on every point. For example, I am totally on board when he rants against the president violating the constitution by waging undeclared wars. By weaving a few bits of hard-hitting truth sandwiched by layers of hate and fear, I can see why his survivalist us-vs-them type of world view might be seductive for his fellow white men with guns and badges. And that is very, very scary. If the Ferguson police dept were a mosque full of violent hate-mongers, then I think we may have finally pinpointed the mullah.
