Fellow movie maniac and Facebook comrade, Howard S. Berger is posting at this hour on the passing of longtime director/actor/producer, Joseph Sargent. Truly hoping this is one of those accidental reporting mishaps, but if indeed fact, the world has lost one of its most prolific directors. The man was responsible for everything from COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT (1970), to the Sally Field coming-of-age vehicle, MAYBE ILL COME HOME IN THE SPRING (1971), to the original THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE (1974), right up to robo-Olympian sci-fi, GOLDENGIRL (1979), and even JAWS: THE REVENGE (1987)! In other words, Sargent was super-prolific!! And, he was also responsible for my all-time favorite horror anthology EVER - the four-tale 1983 blast, NIGHTMARES. With that and a nod to Joseph Sargent, I give you all the trailer for the film! #RememberingJosephSargent #RIP #ThankYou
