Female GWP Emily –Referral posting - Castro Valley, CA. Emily is a 2 year old purebred German Wirehaired Pointer. She is about 50 pounds, healthy, micro chipped and up to date on vaccinations. She has never had a litter and will be spayed prior to her adoption. Emily previously grew up in a kennel outdoors but is now living with a fantastic foster family indoors! Emily is very friendly and sweet, she gets along well with other dogs, kids and people – but is not friendly with cats. Swimming is one of her favorite activities. She also likes hikes, runs, fetch, and frisbee. She’s even playing with stuffed animals now too. Emily is crate trained, and walks great on a leash. Since joining her current foster family she has also learned to love being a house dog! Emily does know some basic commands too. Emily is looking for a new home that will provide a loving family, lots of outdoor activities and warm bed (or lap) to snuggle on! Adopters should note Emily has been hunt tested and is afraid of loud noises, she would not be a suitable hunting companion. Rehoming fee is $200, fee will cover the cost of Emily’s spay and care by foster family. You do not need to fill out our adoption questionnaire since Emily is not in our foster program and you will be working directly with her current foster.
