Fertised vs unfertised eggs: You can tell Fertilised versus unfertilised quail eggs through candling process on 10th day after incubation....however its tricky with quail eggs due to the speckled dark spots on their eggs. With experience u will perfect the game...unfertilsed will show clear light thro, while those fertilised will have dark ermbroyonic branches developing inside seen through the candling torch.. Due to many quail egg conmen, its good to av ua own breeding stock with the right male female ratio to be sure of fertility....or get them from trustworthy licensed quail farmers. N.B an egg bn fertilised is not a sure way of getting a chick through incubation, since other foctors like, how the egg was stored, hygiene, egg handling, age of egg, size, egg turning in the incubator etc all plays crutial role to egg hatchability.
