Festhalle update 10/25/2014: 1. Last weekends Inaugural Asbury Park Oktobefest was a huge success. We are so grateful to The Anchors Bend for the warm welcome! 1700 really cool people came to celebrate. 2. Tuesday began 4 long days of interviewing staff. We saw over 200 people! The incredible selection of hardworking applicants is making our choosing our team very difficult! 3. Construction is clipping away. We are heavy into final details and gearing up for final inspections. The City of Asbury Park has been very helpful and cooperative through out the process. We hope to be properly prepared and sail through to our CO! May the construction gods be on our side! 4.Urgent! We have a squatter in the Festhalle. This could delay our opening for months ;) A squirrel,!we have named Pepik, has been with us through out the construction process and is insisting on staying. We need an animal trap that will not harm him. He is collecting nuts for the winter and has offered to share his stash with our patrons if we let him stay. His favorite beer is Pilsner Urquell! If anyone has a trap, please message us. We would like to help him find a new home on Welsey Lake! 5. Lastly, so many people have enjoyed peeking through our windows and following our progress. Catch your last look before opening this weekend. We will be papering on Monday. The element of surprise is priceless. We cant wait to open and share our beautiful Biergarten with you!!!! The support and enthusiasm all of you have shown us is truly wonderful! Prost!
