Few days back I came across this page on FB called Stories of Nepal. A very interesting page which has many individual stories of our homeland. One of their notices caught my eye. It is about the immediate need of a birthing place in Pyutar which even though is 45 km away from KTM but takes about 4 hrs to reach. Save the Children and Socialtours are co-organizing Kathmandu KORA Cycling Challenge 2014 on Saturday, 19 July (which also happens to be my birthday) to support the construction of a new ecofriendly birthing center in Pyutar to promote institutional birthing through the raised funds.
