Few days from now it shall yet be my birthday again. I am very grateful to God for the gift of life but I wish I could be excited. While my age has changed just like time, days, months and the year itself, very many issues that were discussed last year are still the same. Except changes in some infrastructure like few roads, schools and health centres, the peoples standard of living has even deteriorated, per capita income is at its lowest with increasing loss of Job which further raise the unemployment rate, heightened insecurity. On the other hand are new twist. Intra party bickering and backstabbing, self first political culture and non consideration of electorates has replaced internal democracy that provides veritable platform for good democratic practice. Sunny Okusun asked, Which Way Nigeria? Come 14th of June, I will like to replace fanfare and excitement with sober reflections on the way forward for Nigeria, Rivers State and Ogoni.
