Fibromyalgia is on my mind...I was diagnosed 10 years ago after a previous 10 years of symptoms and pain. Combined with osteoarthritis and natural aging the simple act of walking can be torture. Pins and needles neuropathy and back pain are just as fact of everyday life. Being allergic to morphine and its family of painkillers, relief from pain is restricted to Tylenol. Some relief is derived from acupuncture but the cost is prohibitive. I am not complaining because we all have our crosses to bare and this is mine. I just get fed up with people who dont really understand my limitations making comments about my lack of mobility like I have a choice. I assure you NO ONE would choose to have the pain and other problems associated with this disease. I have been putting the needs of my family and friends ahead of my health and I now realize that has to stop. So if I tell you no just accept it and know that I know best what my body can and cannot handle. I have a sister that fell from a height of 4 feet and hit a tile floor in a horizontal position. She was bruised and battered and felt run over by a semi truck. Just imagine feeling like that every day. Combine that feeling with drop dead fatigue and sometimes confusion and disorientation and then welcome to my world. Thank you for allowing me to vent. I will get over my pity party and all I ask is some prayer and understanding.
