Fifteen years ago, give or take, one of my sons, coming home from primary school, got his tied-on jumper trapped in in his bike spokes, tipped over the handlebars and lost his two front teeth. The person who picked him up and found one of his teeth - put it in milk, by the way: Miss Shine at school knew this – was MissLouisa Young. God bless. My wife, away at the time, killed me for letting him go to school on his bike in the first place. He’s now 23; all at home right now, son & girlfriend & other son, and over supper we’ve been replaying things, some of which I had no idea about, and the tooth incident has become legend, recounted with many variants, and if Miss Louisa would care to step forward to belatedly receive her medal during these dogdays while family’s around she’d be more than welcome.
