Fight Journal Entry 1: So with all of the people I have been - TopicsExpress

Fight Journal Entry 1: So with all of the people I have been seeing and fighting with on a regular basis I would like to give these people some recognition and hopefully some inspiration. I know it can be kind of daunting learning so much so fast and you may feel like you arent getting anywhere but you are. Im posting it here so hopefully it will give others motivation as well. Liricia: Getting very good at closing. Combos are coming a long very well and you can see that she is thinking while doing it. Spike: Mental game is developing very quick. Ideas for baits and jams are growing. Striking has drastically improved. Using more of his body and arms to throw shots. Nikoli: Learning how to use his range since hes 12 feet tall. Closing a bit better. Shots are more dangerous. George: Arms shots are solid. Which is an indicator of good range control. His previous experience is coming back. Sam: Mental game is developing faster than anyone I have taught before. His thought process to get to each step in a fight is pretty good. Able to break down each win and loss. Developing his own combos to strike. Dom: Ability to counter strike is getting ridiculous to the point that if im not careful I will lose. Jasons Friend, ( sorry I forget the name): Getting better footwork. Learning how to close and not be afraid to throw shots. Jason Seewald: His countering is awesome, again if I mess up im dead. Closing game is nuts. Foot work and range control has gotten way better. Charles: Very strong mental game. Can play through fights before they happen. His body/arm baits get me more than they should. Emmanuel Hernandez: His desire to start to learn has been impressive. He learns quick. Myself: Thanks to Isaac, I have been working on better range control. Sword and board skills arent as terrible as I thought but still need work. Need to work on a better form of closing that isnt forcing people into my range. Need to work on better shot control in flo, tend to win if I barrage shots sometimes. I appreciate everyones willingness and desire to get better. You guys make amt gard fun and challenging. When we do these fights, everyone is welcome and I encourage people to come out. We do all kinds of teaching from lecture type to 1 on 1 to teacher(s) observing and giving tips. I also hope this post doesnt come off as elitest or e-peen flexing, I wanted to give people a view at whats happening and how well they are doing.
