Filmmakers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine can apply for a training program. Directors Across Borders (DAB), sponsored by the European Union Eastern Partnership Program, is currently accepting applications for the Producers’ workshop which will take place in Kiev, Ukraine, October 21 – 25, 2013. The workshop will focus on creative, financial and legal issues linked to the production of feature films. It will aim at providing emerging producers and directors with the fundamental tools to create local films competitive in the global film market. The workshop will be held during the festival Molodist IFF, which takes place Oct. 19-27, 2013, and the participants will have the accreditation and the possibility to attend the film screenings. The language of the workshop is English. Applicants should have completed a university education in a related cinema discipline or have some practical experience in film development and production and have a feature film at the development stage. The workshop is free, including lodging, meals and transportation to and from an Eastern Partnership country to Ukraine. Applicants will be selected on a competitive basis. The deadline for entries is September 15.
