Final year JHS pupils begin BECE today 391,079 pupils of Junior High Schools (JHS) around the country are writing this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this morning. They will write the English Language and Social Studies papers on Monday, starting with English paper 1 at 9am. Meanwhile, as part of measures to ensure the smooth running of this year’s BECE the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has set up new depots. The depot is where all the examination papers are kept for onward distribution to the various districts to prevent incidences of delays on the day of the exam. According to the West Africa Examination Council, all is set for the exams.
