#FinalFantasy XIV to get its first expansion #SquareEnix have releasing new information for Final Fantasy XIV at quite a speed the last week. Firstly in a update to our previous story about patch 2.4 we finally have a release date. The patch will be rolling out on October 28th so you have a week to get a team together to tackle Shiva on Day 1. The bigger news however came in the form of an expansion trailer that appeared at the Final Fantasy Fanfest in the US last week. #Heavensward is the first full expansion for the game and is due for release in Spring 2015. The expansion is said to include new jobs, a new playable race, and increase the level cap from 50 to 60. There is also talk of huge open areas to explore.
