Today is your last day on earth, you better be saying your last prayer now, one of the guys yelled. At this point, i started having heartbeat. I was so frightened and scared of dying. I dont want to die dad, i cried unto dad as tears fell from his eyes. Dont worry my son, remember in the bible the Lord said I shall not die but LIVE Lets have faith & beleive in that sentence, dad assured me. The two guys began to laugh at us after hearing what dad said. Okay oh, you shall not die but live, lets see if you will, one of the guys muttered as he laughed at us. After about 20mins, we sighted the driver coming along with an oldman holding a white calabash. My heartbeats increased as soon as they got to us. Father! my dad muttered to the oldman as he saw his face clearly. Immediately the oldman looked-up to my dad, shock & great fear covered him. I could figure out that from the expressions on his face. He couldnt control himself anymore to such extent that he smashed into pieces the calabash he was holding. Dad whats happening? Do you by any chance know the oldman? i asked my dad convulsively as they stared at each other. Dad please come to your right senses and talk sense, i shouted to my dad The oldman then told the guys that kidnapped us to leave as he urged us to follow him. What led you into this shits? Why are you doing this? Why?? my dad asked oldman as soon as we got to his house. The oldman stared at me and begged me to excuse them for some minutes. I had lost 75% of my memories, i really couldnt beleive what was happening at that moment. Could the oldman truly be my grandfather? Ofcourse never, it cant be! i thought to myself as i waited outside. Even hunger has fled away when it heard that death was about to kill me...lol. Minutes later, the oldman summoned me and then told me to sit down. You are now a big boy, youve really grown alot, he said to me as i looked him in a bad way. Well, i asked your dad what you came to do in ibadan but he told me to direct that question to you, so what happened? what have you came to do in ibadan? At first i didnt want to answer the man, but when i faced my dad, he nodded in support. Then i explained the main reason why we came to ibadan to him. After hearing from me, he sighed and shrugged then said This life!! Its full of bitterness and sweetness Well, you both will follow me to a place tomorrow morning, he went further as i nodded in agreement. The next day, we followed the old man to a town in ibadan. The old man told us that weve gotten to our destination. What have we came to do here sir? i asked him. Dont worry my son, you ll get to know soon, he assured me. He then banged the gate of the house. A gateman opened the gate for us and asked whom we were looking for. The oldman whispered into the gatemans right ear and he went inside the house. She greeeted the oldman excitedly as she urged us to come in. I was scared and afraid of what shes up to. We got to the sitting room and met her parents. I couldnt beleive they can approached us politely, indeed they are very nice and kind. Whats happening sir, did you know Anita before? i asked the oldman confusingly. He gave a cute smile on his face as he said you see this Anita, she loves you alot. She came to me few months ago and told me that i should help her by sending her true love to her in which she mentioned your name in particular. She also narrated what happened between you and her some years ago. Oh king of kings, love is strong and wonderful, my dad exclaimed as the oldman continued his words. Anita had loved you for a long time but you betrayed her, now shes loving you again, do you still love her? Yes i do, i really still love Anita, i want her to be my wife, i muttered to him wholeheartedly. The oldman then faced Anita and asked if she agrees to marry me and she nodded in agreement After that, the oldman faced Anitas parents and seek their consent in which they also agreed. Finally, the oldman turned to my dad and asked if he agrees. Cmon father, ask them to fix their wedding date, dad told the oldman as everyone bursted into laughter...
