Finally a judge who is willing to do what the majority of the citizens of this country want. The majority of the citizens of the United States do NOT want horses sent to slaughter. Period! Not wild horses stolen from federal lands. Not pet horses abandoned by lousy owners. Not working horses or race horses no longer "useful" to their owners. We do NOT want horses slaughtered in this country. We do NOT want horses exported from this country to be slaughtered elsewhere. How much simpler can it be? This is still the United States of America. This is still a democracy. The majority of the people who live in this country do not want our horses slaughtered in any shape, form or fashion for any reason. So STOP THIS PRACTICE AT ONCE! And work on other solutions to the horse population problem. Advocate responsible horse ownership. If people were told they had to provide for the care and feeding of any horse they bought so long as the horse lives whether they make use of it or not I would imagine many people would not get horses in the first place. Smaller demand. Smaller supply. Stop thinking with your wallets, people. Start thinking with your hearts. And as for the Shoshone who were involved in this unmitigated greed, shame on you. Your ancestors are ashamed of you. Shame. Shame. Shame.
