Finally doing some fall gardening in spite of the continuing warm temps... hoping the moths are mostly done egg-laying, anyway. Leaving the pupae I found on the Kama Sutra and patchouli plants undisturbed - out of respect for a job well done by what will be a white moth on the former (a very well woven and well camouflaged cocoon), and out of curiosity regarding the latter, because whatever is transforming inside *that* cocoon looks black in color and rather large... What will emerge??? I may be the only person I know whose garden grows best in late fall and winter, as a matter of direct afternoon sunlight and fewer nibblers. Ive definitely learned to choose my battles and let things go to the bugs between July and September. ;)
