Finally home after a very long day at the hospital with Alan! Yikes, he has congestive heart failure now...he is also receiving blood transfusion! Bummer.....but his tumors have shrunk....I am picking up my volunteers uniform at the hospital tomorrow...may as well since Im always there! Hey we still managed to get a few laughs in...the doctor came and said, I have just been going over your history. Alan only heard...youre history...OMG, I almost had an accident...he says Im history! She says, no, Ive been going over your history! When he realized what she had said, he kept it going...you can imagine the banter and then when they brought the blood, I cant even repeat what he said! Thank goodness, his strong Scottish brogue was there and the nurse didnt know what the hell he was saying! Meanwhile, I was almost joining him in the next bed because he would not stop joking! I guess when worried or scared the best way to deal with it is to laugh. He even told the nurse I wouldnt drive him to the hospital! Please keep this crazy auld Scots/American in your prayers! This too shall pass!
