Finally met with my neurosurgeon, its worse than I even thought. What I thought was 3 herniated discs is actually 5. She said I have the spine of a 49 year old. They want to take the bad discs out, put bone fragments where they were and then put metal plates in to fuse my spine. Also found out I have a heart murmur. They wont do surgery until I quit smoking or the bones wont fuse and heal. Can I just pretend this isnt happening...
