Finally saw "Silence of the Lambs" last night, which I thought - TopicsExpress

Finally saw "Silence of the Lambs" last night, which I thought would be much more horrific than it was. Whenever Hopkins was on screen, it was amazing. Otherwise, somewhat standard fare by modern standards. I did love all the unspoken messaging and symbolism in the opening where various signs, notes on walls, etc, set the stage as the heroine finishes her run on the obstacle course and walks to her appointment. I thought Ms. Foster had a few weak moments, but did an adequate job in her role. Hopkins makes any movie better by his presence.
