Finally spoke to Dr. Ortenberg and we are waiting to see Sophia in recovery.He said she did great and he was with her when she woke up. Sophia had a kink in her ureter that was removed and then the healthy part was re attached to her kidney and a stint was put in place to drain the urine while the kidney was healing. The stint will be in place for about 4-6 weeks. There was also debris that he cleaned out that he thinks could have been from kidney stones. We cant see her soon enough. Thank you for all the calls, texts, and most of all prayers. My baby is on the road to recovery. We should be able to go home tomorrow. Much Love, Resa Porta Tureau
