Finally the dynamic and vibrant candidates have been introduced before the scholarly class of HPU in a panel supported by the HPU unit of SFI. This scholarly class always has been exercising their franchise to favour SFI’s panels for last 26 years, which in result the formation of strong SCAs to place students’ demands before the authority strongly. As we know the golden history of SFI in HPU. SFI always fight for the common cause of the students, who belong to every nook and corner of the state and country. It is the strength of organisation which led many historical movements across the state regarding opening of many colleges, PG classes in colleges, Fee Hike, introducing sports and cultural activities, and many more. And furthermore SFI has fought a historical movement of “Restoration of Elections” in HPU and college campuses, which were banned by the state government. It is the unified thought of SFI which has introduced the concept of “Blood Donation Camps” and played a vital role to stop Ragging and Eve- Teasing practices in the colleges and HPU. SFI practised an innovative approach in the year of 2001 to introduce the participation of girls’ candidates in the panel. Keeping in view carrying the legacy of Independence Icon Sardar Bhagat Singh and the slogan of SFI “Study & Struggle”, SFI state committee appeals the entire student community to vote and support all the four candidates in the panel and representatives of different departments.
