Please note, This position has auditing, and financial experience required, Internal controls and processes experience a must GAAF, SOX, IFRS ec OUTLINE OF JOB • To provide functional expertise to the Africa Organisation ensuring the highest levels of excellence within the finance controls and compliance environment. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support all business units in Africa • Work with Financial Controllers to: o ensure documentation of processes o ensure control and process testing o monitor and improve finance functional excellence o Provide guidance and training in internal control design, evaluation and testing. o Work with all entities to identify and implement process and control improvements. o Demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge and expertise in the design of effective internal controls. • Monitor that above work is being done • Review of key controls and processes prior to Audit • Provide first line advice on corporate finance policies • Coordinate response to corporate control initiatives • Advise on control issues arising from: o Organizational Change o System Implementations / Upgrades (ie NextGen implementation) Other Projects: • Assist with integration of new regional offices and new entities (including JV’s) • Assist with acquisition process o Financial analysis as and when required o Due diligence o Introduction and implementation of controls and Cummins policies REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Professional Finance Qualification - Chartered, Management or Certified Accountant • 6 Sigma Greenbelt Certified-Preferred • Finance Related Degree – Preferred. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Prior direct leadership responsibility in which the candidate significantly raised the operating performance of their group. • Direct experience in the preparation of financial statements (internal and statutory). • Reporting results in a multi location, international environment. • Knowledge of regional accountancy standards.
