Financial Controller • Provide effective financial consolidation and reporting for the Subgroup to ensure the accuracy completeness and consistency of the financial records including review of subsidiaries financial statements. • Provide effective accounting and financial support to the relevant companies. • Implement new and amended control procedures to comply with SOCPA standards. • Ensure that all relevant transactions are entered into the financial system in an accurate and timely manner. • Ensure that the financial accountants are preparing the financial information monthlyquarterlyannually using approved company financial reporting tools. • Oversee financial consolidation activities for the Subgroup and ensure that financial reporting is conducted in a timely manner. • Ensure that all assets are monitored and accurately accounted for. • Ensure that all ledgers and financial reports are accurate and closed in a timely manner. • Communicate and discuss the departments guidelines and procedures with employees to ensure responsibilities authorities and accountabilities are defined and understood. • Manage the selection appointment and retention of the Accounting team. • Manage and ensure that proper trainings are being arranged and provided to the Accounting team as required to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sections performance. • Oversee and maintain the companys interfaces with relevant suppliers customers and organizations. • Coordinate and assist the external auditors in providing the required information and supporting schedules for the interim and yearend audits. • Ensure that same significant accounting policies are adopted by all Subgroup members and consistently applied and discuss deviations with the Group CFO. • Ensure similar classification presentation and disclosure level between Subgroup members. Discuss deviations with the Group CFO. • Discuss consolidation issues with the Group CFO. • Approve general ledger listing edit list before processing JEs. • Approve payments and review supporting documents of transactions. • Supervise the handling of associates transactions and reconciliations. • Handle the activities of internal and external auditors with the cooperation of the Group CFO. • Review the correctness and completeness of annual budget. • Assist the Group CFO in reviewing drafts of the audited financials. • Supervise the activities and workload of the financial department. • Perform any other jobrelated duties as assigned or requested by the direct supervisor or company CEO’s. Skills The level of responsibility is companywide and includes 3 subsidiaries and 2 subsubsidiaries in Riyadh and Dammam SR3.5 Billion in sales SR 1.0 Billion in inventory with 100000 SKU ‘s SR 175 million in PPE including 500 trucks operating from 180 stores throughout the kingdom with some 2500 employees . The company is employing ACCPAC accounting software and will be migrating to SAP in 2015 Q1. 1. Technical Skills • Strong understanding of financial control and accounting practices and principles. • Strong knowledge of general ledger APAR and fixed asset processes. • Sound knowledge and understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS and Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants SOCPA accounting standards. • Strong knowledge and experience using financiaiERP systems. • High command of Arabic and English languages. • Computer literacy.
