Make up or Acting? A1. Its a Clowning & Improv workshop for Actors (not backstage/makeup/direction). As makeup & costume play important role in clowning performances, they would be briefly covered during the workshop however major emphasis is on discovering your own individual clown and understanding your unique style of expression! Q2. I have never acted, can I come? Wont I feel out of place ? There must be some prerequisite as this is a specialized workshop. A2. Yes. No. And Yes. The only prerequisite is the zeal to learn and willingness to laugh. In layman terms, this is a Comedy Workshop. We will learn to create comedy from situations, mannerisms, observations, social taboos, uncertainty/certainty of thoughts, etc. We will learn few tools that will allow us to pick the best from unlimited possibilities. Will you feel out of place ? We are going to be immersing ourselves into the study of stupidity. Stay foolish and you would do just good! Q3. I believe I will never be able to do a clowning act or Improv act on stage... I want to... but I cant!! Too scared... or confused... uncertain. A3. Hmmmm... Life is fun only when we conquer our fears... One by one! Come for the workshop on 28th. Spend the weekend with us as a Learner and we promise that you would see the performer in you come alive. Q4. When will I get to perform ? and Where? A4. Post the workshop, we are going to host a Clowns Night party at High Spirits. We will be performing there. Q5. Who will direct our pieces ? A5. You would get all the details during the workshop. Be assured about the performance Q6. Is it for free? If not, what is the fee ? A6. The discounted fee is Rs 5000.
