Finding Dory Was Blackfished Too!! Finding Dory will be released June 17, 2016! In a most unlikely event for an animated film, Pixar alters the ending of Finding Dory to take part in instilling social consciousness for animal welfare. The studio has taken cues from the documentary of Blackfish, which tackles the unfavorable life orca whales under the captivity of Sea World. An employee of Pixar has spoken to The New York Times saying that the new ending will have to do with the fish and mammals from a marine park in the film to have the option to leave after being held captive.
