Finished Star Wars: Cloak of Deception last night. 7/10. Its a good build up from Star Wars: Darth Plagueis and a good transition for Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Gives you a good background as to why Episode 1 starts out with a blockade of Naboo from the Trade Federation. Both books prior to the movie really set the stage, and show how the dark side forms to shadow the galaxy. The book itself is pretty good. No sense of heroes overcome crazy amounts of obstacles and the bad guys lose because theyre bad guys which I can agree with. The characters who werent Jedi had good character development, and the story wasnt confusing at all.
