The Project as a “Preliminary Draft” was discussed during the 4th International Congress on “Science and Technology for the Safeguard of Cultural Heritage of the Mediterranean Basin” held in Cairo, Egypt on December 2009. and during the 5th Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2011. The same Draft was put at disposal of the scientific Community in order to obtain a better-amended and enriched text. During 2010, 2011 and 2012 we contacted more than 3.000 scientists from all over the world. About 600 scientists made observations, amendments or suggested new items to be included. The actual Project text contains all the contributes. (see “Contributes”). The Project was submitted in 2010 to the European Commissioner Mrs. Máire Geoghegan-Quinn who appreciated this work and we continue to adjourn the Commissioner on any further step of the Project.
