LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man, who pleaded guilty Dec. 5 to hiding a loaded .45-caliber pistol under a couch cushion during an April 11 drug raid on Niagara Avenue in the Falls, was sentenced Friday to three years in prison and three years of post-release supervision. That was the minimum sentence for attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the reduced charge admitted to by Gregory N. Perry, 21, of Ferry Avenue. Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said he imposed the term because of Perry’s youth. He could have been sent to prison for as long as seven years. Perry also agreed to forfeit $2,598 seized from him when he was arrested.
