Fire alarm goes off at Minneapolis school -- teachers force student in pool to go STAND outside in minus 5 degree weather -- for TEN minutes in her soaked swimming suit and a towel. Between them, these properly certified educators could figure out no alternative to following standard district procedure. Finally the principal was informed and was asked if, gosh, would it be okay to put the freezing teen in a faculty car and fire up the heater? The girl got frostbite as a result of the delay. These teachers were mindless robots just following orders -- incapable of independent thought or action -- exactly what every school district wants. Very sad. And its scary to realize these folks are teaching our kids.
