Firearm selection is a matter of life or death. TTAG will tell the truth about guns to our readers come what may. We will also tell the truth about publications which put readers in harms way by ignoring or glossing over defects which could endanger gun owners. Thats how we roll. As for the debate over open carry, I agree with Mr. Cannon. But I also respect the Constitutionally protected rights of those who wish to open carry long guns in public in ways which neither I nor Mr. Cannon nor a great many gun owners approve. As for the tone, TTAG deletes abusive and obscene comments from its pages. We ban offending posters (especially Facebook) when they cross the line. But its important to recognize their passion for gun rights. And the fact that the Second Amendment has given us the power to disagree with the antis AND each other. The key difference between us and them: we seek the truth about guns. They use lies to promote their agenda. I salute gunsavelives for its honesty, integrity and hard work. But the comity Mr. Cannon seeks is impossible. And Id say undesirable.
