First Flash mob and First committee meeting The shepherds were living out in the fields because it was lambing season. They had to make sure the new born sheep were well cared for. I am sure they were enjoying a quiet night when all of a sudden their watching was interrupted by a heavenly flash mob. Gods Son the lamb of God had come and the world needed to know. So God sent his angels to some lowly shepherds to announce that the King of kings was here. The Heavenly host could not contain themselves they had to sing, they had to praise God for his wonderful act of love. God became flesh and blood to save us. Glory to God in the highest and peace to his people on earth. How I wish I could have heard that glorious flash mob of angels singing in perfect harmony. Some day I will and I hope you too will. What did the shepherds do after they heard the good news? They formed a committee and made a wonderful decision. Lets go to Bethlehem and see this thing that the Lord has made known unto us. So they came, they saw, they believed and they told the good news of our saviors birth. Will you do the same this Christmas season? Hear the good news of our saviors birth and like the angels give glory to God in the highest. Luke 2:8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ {11 Or Messiah. The Christ (Greek) and the Messiah (Hebrew) both mean the Anointed One; also in verse 26.} the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Lets go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about. 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
