First GoPro kill two weeks ago... Had a nice buck (8 pointer?) under my stand early for 15 minutes. I was waiting for the sun to rise. Too early and dark to shoot, but man it was torturous 15 minutes, praying for just enough sun. Eventually he made his way off and upwind of me, 5 yards away, snorted and bolted. Oh well. The winds were howling, swaying the tree and that, compounded with missing my chance at a really nice buck and now rain, left me with no choice but to climb down for a nice breakfast with the family. However, once I climbed down I spotted a doe running towards my spot (they use it as cover as they travel between fairways and the surrounding woods. Its a great ambush spot. Last thing I was expecting was a ground hunt without any set up or cover! I quickly ducked behind two maintenance tents to block my scent from blowing towards her. After a few minutes I moved between the tents and saw here standing there at 20 yards staring at me. I quickly drew and let loose with the 100 grain Rage two-bladed broad head...
