First I learned that Spanish Needles, one of the most hated and ROUND-UPed herb in Florida, is a superfood. Then it was the dreaded and maligned Nut Sedge, whose nuts are called Tiger Nuts and considered a delicacy elsewhere. Now I learn (and share) that the highly invasive and prolific Bermuda Grass is highly esteemed by one of the oldest medicinal traditions on earth. And, all three grow rampantly at Beacon Community Garden and Food Forest and in the Suburban Jungle. WHO KNEW??? Well, now we all do!!!!
