You still find excuses to excuse yourself. Why? What autobiography are you going to leave? You can’t stand for a good cause because you lack courage. Abraham the father of faith went through 10 tests. What does Abraham mean to you? All those who have the faith of Abraham are the children of Abraham. You can’t stand for a good cause because you lack faith. Courage is a decision to overcome fear. You want to be a champion but whom have you defeated? You need courage to continue serving God. If we truly stand for truth God was going to be glorified in our city. You need courage to stop doing wrong. Saying I am weak is not a language of courage. Anyone who gives excuses has no courage. The fear of others mocking you is stopping you from being an effective Christian. The Owner will ask you what you did with the heart-beat He gave you and what are you going to say? Do you have the courage to silently defeat hardships, illness, financial difficulties etc? Have you got courage to face life’s changing circumstances? Have courage to live a true life because the truth shall set you free. Do you have courage for unseen things? Courage is the quality of great people. It is a quality that creates greatness. Do you have it? Courage is a quality that Abraham had. He recognized God as one true God. When he realized that, he was prepared to die for this God. Moses had courage to approach Pharaoh and tell him “let my people go”. Haman had courage and refused to bow to Mordecai. Esther had courage to go before the king without permission thereby putting her life at risk. Lack of courage has limited you and caused you suffering. Your life should have been great if you had courage. Courage should make you do better next time. With lack of courage you suffer more and accomplish less. Today after this message raise your level of courage. Can you start something huge in your life with nothing? Are you courageous like one starving for food and water? Do you have courage to admit your own wrong and your own faults? It’s only the strong people who can ask for forgiveness. Some lack courage to tell their friends to stop listening to gossip. Why do you lack courage to acknowledge that you lack courage? No one is born with highly developed courage. We all develop it. Everyone should improve on his/her courage levels. What is it that you have tolerated because you lack courage? Courage is the mental strength to venture, persevere and withstand danger. Courage involves the mind and will. Courage is courage to face the opposition. It is strength to face opposition, strength to cope up with hardships. Have courage to live your life to the fullest. There are setbacks in life but you have to have enough courage to face them. Have courage not to surrender to defeat, to start new projects, new organization and new business. You’ve got to build the boat before the flood starts. Have courage to do what others are failing to do. God told Joshua to be courageous, very courageous and to be of good courage. Joshua 1 vs 1,5-7, 9. The emphasis was on courage. Abraham was faced with challenges and withstood them all. The autobiography of Abraham is one of courage. He was willing to die for his beliefs. His father Terah owned an idol shop. Abraham as a child smashed the idols and challenged his father. He dedicated his life to serve God. Abraham challenged king Nimrod telling him that there is only one true God. He refused to renounce Hashem. Abraham had to leave his birth place, his father’s house in order to follow the wishes of God. Are you in your life following the wishes of God or you are following your own? Abraham faced the unknown with no complaints. His destination was wherever God would tell him to go. He faced difficulties and severe hardships with no complaints. As a sign of a covenant with God he had to go for a painful circumcision at an old age. He immediately, when told by God, agreed to sacrifice his only beloved son who was so precious to him. Have you entered into an Abrahamic covenant with God? Every time in every situation you find yourself in you must focus on courage. Daily you are writing an autobiography with decisions and choices you make. The following must be in an autobiography; overcoming challenges, sufferings, hardships, limitations, difficulties, poverty, ignorance and sickness and disease. You lack courage to make decisions that matter in life. After hearing this message you are no longer at the previous level of courage but at the current level. Courage builds self respect. When you sacrifice for courage and principles you increase your self-respect. You also increase your self-respect by saying no when others want you to say yes. Every act of courage makes you feel better about yourself. All your fears have no basis in reality. Learn from the courage of others and have someone to look up to. From today face the future with courage. Life is too short to spend it unhappy. Sadness cannot contain holiness. In conclusion the Man of God said you have more courage after hearing the message than you had before the message. Go and live a life of courage, no more excuses. Complaining is for cowards. A coward will continue living in falsehood. A coward does not know truth, cannot handle truth but handle lies which profit him nothing but only delay the obvious. Abraham left his wishes to fulfill the wishes of God. Whose wishes are you fulfilling?
