First and foremost Emily I am so thankful and glad that you are doing so much better. Pulling through like you have proves you are a fighter and you are helping change lives. Proud of you girl! I am a mom of 3 wonderful kids. About a year ago I almost lost all of them. You can keep me ananomous or not it doesnt matter. I was a late bloomer when it came to any kind of drug. I was 29 when I started to smoke weed. I smoked, grew, sold for 4-5 years. After smoking all day everyday I couldnt reach the level of high I wanted. So I switched things up and started smoking spice. I hid it from my family for about 8 months. I became so out of control. I would so anything ro have money to buy it. I was going through 3.5-5 grams a day. I worked at a retail store and would hide in the fitting rooms to smoke it. I would hide in the bathrooms at home and smoke it. Even when my family confronted me about it I would still do it. They would follow me around. There were a couple times when I tried a new brand that my head hit my computer desk and I was out for awhile. I would halucinate when I would drive. I was throwing up on a daily basis. My cough was so severe it felt like my ribcage was broken. I was constantly cold and had major body sweats. Finally my 13 year old took matters in her own hands and called my mom and step-dad and they showed up on my doorstep late one night and did an intervention. I threw them out of my house. They informed me that my kids werent coming home to me until I got help. The next day my mom drove me to detox where I stayed for 58 days. Then went to intensive inpatient for 30 days. I continue to do outpatient. I am now 10 months clean and have my kids back. So far the only damage I have is memory problems. I know deep inside that if I was to go back to it I would die. I share my story and I have shared Emilys story as well.
