First day of FETC is done...15 hours later. Wow, what a great day though. Recap: My first three hours were with BrainPOP going through teacher certification program. Make-a-map feature is something my students beta tested and helped BrainPOP tweak. My mixer and GameUp are also great features. Great to see Kari and finally meet Katya. Saw my local ed tech buddy Melissa Lander. She is so awesome. Met up with Microsoft team - Tony, Kudzai, Helen, David, Bradley, Joshua and Christina. Talked upcoming E2 forum and current BETT conference. Heard David talking up benefits and features of Office Mix. More people need to give Office Mix a test drive. Its a great classroom tool. Wish Razan and Minnia were here. Got great seat for Jane McGonigal keynote. She is the worlds foremost authority on gamification. I need to read her books. Lots of data and neuroscience research to support gamifying classroom. I need to keep incorporating more gaming in classroom. Checked in on friends at BETT. Paula , Koen and so many other friends attending fantastic Ed tech conference in London. One day Ill join you there. Saw the great people of Flocabulary. They have a great product that promotes student engagement. Finally, went to my first FETC tweet up and met the great Jerry Cybrary Man Blumengarten. His website is a great resource for educators. Exhausted...time to rest...back at it tomorrow!
