First day of Ramadan likely to be Sunday, June 29th Qualified - TopicsExpress

First day of Ramadan likely to be Sunday, June 29th Qualified Muslim astronomers and reliable visibility forecasts indicate that on Friday evening, June 27th a naked-eye (unaided) sighting of the new crescent moon will be extremely improbable in all global regions, with the exception of the remote South Pacific where sightings are possible but highly unlikely. If the moon is not seen Friday, June 27th, on Saturday evening, June 28th the moon should be easily visible throughout much of the world (see visibility forecasts here) marking the beginning of Ramadan with its first day of fasting on Sunday, June 29th.
