First half recap Honestly, there isnt much to say. The first - TopicsExpress

First half recap Honestly, there isnt much to say. The first half of the Minnesota Vikings game at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers isnt so much a border battle as a curb stomp. If youre the type to drown your sorrows in booze, this game is getting you wasted. If youre staying up late for this game, dont. Just go get your rest. After starting out doing pretty much whatever he wanted (run, pass, funky chicken) the Vikings defense has found ways to limit Aaron Rodgers. The Vikings defense has been able to bring pressure and keep Rodgers looking human and, if the Vikings had anything going on offense, that wAaron Rodgersn enough to keep this game interesting. And then there is the offense. Poor Christian Ponder is doing nothing tonight to capitalize on this rare start. Hes thrown two interceptions and precious few completions. But part of that is on the receivers who have dropped passes that were, occasionally, right in their hands. The running game hasnt been able to give the passing game any breathing room. Special teams hasnt been able to kick any field goals or extra points, just punts. The return game has suffered from penalties that take away good field position. What will happen in the second half? Well, probably more of the same. Should be interesting to see what Norv Turner says to his offense.
