First home basketball game tonight and it was a CRAZY game. The officiating was horrible on both sides. If this gives you any indication...coaches from both teams were ejected from the game, a fan (from our team) was also ejected, and the ref threatened to eject the cheerleaders if they didnt stay out of his way. I think someone woke up on the wrong side of bed. Needless to say fans of both teams and players were very frustrated BUT the most beautiful thing happened at the end of the game...all the student section and some of the players joined hands in a large circle. I thought everyone was just celebrating our win and then the crowd starting hushing everyone and you could have heard a pin drop as a few students led a prayer. In that moment the entire atmosphere in that gym changed. It was pretty cool to see this happen in a PUBLIC school with a HUGE participation from most of the students and players.
