First, it was the Baltimore Ravens, now the Pittsburgh Steelers are also wanting their share of the Obamacare sell out pie! Watch for more NFL parasites to jump on the band wagon, to take tax dollars from the Average Jane/Joe and please their masters in DC! From the Article: The Pittsburgh Steelers have joined the Baltimore Ravens as the second NFL franchise to come out in public support of ObamaCare. The announcement was made Thursday at Heinz field by HHS head Kathleen Sebelius and Steelers president Art Rooney. Art Rooney, Jr. was joined by his father and Steelers chairman Dan Rooney, who is a former ambassador to Ireland who served under President Obama. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who is in charge of running ObamaCare, and the Rooneys hosted a special workshop to assist people in trying to sign up for mandated health insurance on the state exchanges. “This is very important. I’m very pleased to do it, and to be a part of it. I know it will be successful,” Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney said. Roughly 100 people besides the promoters showed up for the event, according to a report by the Pittsburgh website TribLive . Apparently, no one was able to sign up for health insurance on the defunct Healthcare.gov website, and Sebelius unbelievably blamed Heinz field’s technical infrastructure for the “glitches.” According to the DailyMail, only 51,000 applicants were able to sign up through the Healthcare.gov website in its first week of launch. Heinz Field’s 65,050 capacity could thus comfortably hold every single successful ObamaCare enrollee in the United States during that week. The National Football League earlier turned down the overtures from the Obama administration to promote the ACA, which would have been significant due to its presence in American culture. The rugged, competitive team sport would shore up the law’s image as just another nanny state program. The Obama administration is thus settling by drawing on the Steelers’ and Ravens’ cultural icon statuses to prop up the Affordable Care Act. Nothing like going to millionaire athletes and owners who will be personally unaffected by the law to tout its supposed merits. Along with the Obama administration and federal employees, one is detecting a trend with a law that was once called by its architect as a looming “train wreck.” https://ijreview/2013/10/87369-second-nfl-franchise-comes-support-obamacare/
