Cant say the same for the trailer, but one good thing seems to be the weakness of the trailer hitch. Seems that the trailer separated from the trike due to the force of the impact. I have a feeling this actually worked to my favor, I may have been sucked under the truck if the trailer connection was stronger... hypothetical of course...
