First match since NAZC last year at our 8 stage Feel the Heat Handgun Match fundraiser. Shot my XD Tactical 9mm customized by Canyon Creek in Limited Minor. Great gun, best trigger Ive ever tried on a polymer gun. 3 shots in, procedural. )-: But no biggie. Im rusty! The trigger did go off as I prepped it on way to steel, alas on a no-shoot. Other than that, clean. Reloads, or more precisely ejecting the magazine is a difficult affair still. Guess it just takes time. (-: End up 3rd Limited, 76% of match winner Brian Nelson - Practical Shooter. And 8 stages, 240 rounds + a few makeups was enough for my hand, definitely enough... Main thing... we had a blast in squad 1 with Jay Phillips Nels Segel Ashley Southall Scott Frazier Shawn D. Harris, and the match raised $2500 for our ladies program at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range. Yippee! My compliments to JoAnn Bradley Kimberlee Dunn Sammi Vu Robin Kirker JaliseandJustine Williams and Tracy Sotirakis for designing the stages. All are recent graduates (within last year) of our Wed Ladys Clinics, they designed the stages, which were universally awesome, and ones I wouldnt hesitate to put into an Area or National match. Well done! Finally... guess what... I wasnt MD for this one. I suckered Glen Wong into doing it. Midway thru first stage he pops over on the ATV and tells me this MD stuff keeps you busy... Yes it does Glen, yes it does. (-: But you did very well Glen, and they just get easier. Good job! This match will be a key part of our match schedule in the future at the last weekend of May.
